CAS-ual Friday Challenge
Happy Friday everyone! There's a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays and it sure is a fun one!
For this challenge we are going with Michele's idea of summer which is to create a clean and simple project using Tan, White and one bright color.
For my bright color I chose orange

To create this card I started with a 3.75" x 5" Neenah Solar White cardstock. I then used the cute sun from the CAS-ual Fridays Sunmbeams stamp set and stamped it with Simon Says Orange Peel Ink. I then stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) with VersaMark Ink, added white embossing powder and heat set it on some "tan" color cardstock. This wasn't really the tan I was going for but I didn't have any so I figured since some of us tan more than others this kraft cardstock was fine :)
Before putting everything together I felt it was missing some detail and since I wanted to keep it very CAS I decided to use Avery Elle Dotted Border Dies and die cut the left and right edge of my card with the straight die to get a stitched edge.
Now it was time to put everything together. I decided to add my panel to my base with foam adhesive to give my card a pop. The sentiment strip I adhered with the ATG gun.
I have entered this card in the Simon Says Wednesday challenge: Anything Goes
