Hello everyone. I have a card made with the cute Lawn Fawn stamps today. Check it out:
I made this card using Lawn Fawn's Baked With Love stamp set. I am totally having a blast with this stamp set; I think it's just so cute.
For this card I stamped the little cupcakes on a 4" x 5¼" Neenah Solar White cardstock panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink to create my own pattern paper. Once I was done stamping the cupcakes I thought it felt a bit empty still so I stamped the little hearts from the same stamp set to fill up the white space.
I then colored the cupcakes and hearts in with color pencils.
Once I was done with the pattern paper I stamped the cake stand, cupcakes and candles with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and doing some small masking. I also colored these cupcakes in with color pencils.
The last bit of stamping was done with a sentiment from the same stamp set.
Now came the time to adhere everything.
I started with adhering my pattern paper to a standard size card base (which was a heavier Neenah Solar White cardstock).
I then put my trio cupcake panel on top but I thought it got lost with the background even if I added foam adhesive. I decided to add vellum paper to mute the background a bit. I adhered my trio cupcake panel to the vellum using my ATG gun and then added my sentiment to the vellum towards the top. To finish off the card I added adhesive to the back of the vellum only where the trio cupcake panel is and the sentiment so that the adhesive wouldn't be visible.
I added this card to the following challenges:
- Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Happy Birthday
- Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes
- AAA #36 (Even though it's not an Easter card, I did use pastel color)
That's if for this card. I hope you like it.
Have a great day!
