Baked With Love

Hello everyone!! I'm so sorry I haven't posted in such a long time.  I have missed stamping, crafting and all of you! I finally found some time to stamp again and hopefully now I can be more consistent.

For today's card I used one of Lawn Fawn's new stamp sets, Baked with Love.  I fell in love with this stamp set when I first saw it.  It is so adorable! I'm pretty sure I'm going to use it quite frequently since I like to bake.

Here's today's card:

Baked With Love Lawn Fawn card

For this card I used Neenah Solar White cardstock for my base and scored it with the Martha Stewart Scoring Board at 4¼" to make a standard size card.

The watercolored piece on this card is from a previous project and I had this piece leftover.  I am not completely sure which colors I used but I know the paper is the Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock and I used Distress Inks to create this look.

I used two of the Sizzix Circle Dies to die cut a purple cardstock and white cardstock.

I then stamped the images I wanted from Lawn Fawn's Baked with Love stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped a bag of flour, wooden spoon, butter and bowl all in some scrap cardstock.  There are dies available for this stamp set but I don't have them so I fussy cut the images with my Cutter Bee Scissors.

I decided to some very light watercoloring on my images and this was completely an afterthought which is why I didn't stamp them on watercolor paper and I stamped with Memento ink; I would have probably embossed the images.  To do the watercoloring I used the Inktense Watercolor Pencils and just a little bit of water since I didn't want the ink to smear.

I then stamped the sentiment "baked with love" on the right bottom corner with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I thought about stamping it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink to match the images I had stamped earlier but I really like Versafine Ink for the sentiments so I went with that.

I thought I would be finished once I adhered everything with my ATG gun but I did three more things.  First, I added a small red heart which I died cut with Lawn Fawn Hearts Dies and the Sizzix Big Shot Cutting Machine.  Second, I added dash lines with my Uniball Signo White Gel Pen.  Third, I rounded the top right corner with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

The inspiration for this card came from this week's CAS on Sunday sketch:

I have also entered this card in these challenges:
